Massimine/Roytman/Presentations [M/R/P] based in NYC is a Commercial producing and theatrical management entity established in 2009 by Christopher Massimine and Elvin Roytman. Combined producing and management experiences span from festivals to regional enhancements through Off Broadway theatrics with Broadway-bound productions in development.
M/R/P is interested in the following properties:
What we do as Theatrical Managers:
Cost effectively manage all elements of production based on project need- i.e. Staged Reading, Showcase, Tier Tour, LOA, LORT, Production Agreement, etc. Each client contract is custom designed. As far as we're concerned there is no such thing as a "standard" management fee. Every project is different and should be treated wih adequate thought and time. We will never overbook our responsbilities so that each client receives just due. And we will NEVER take a premium. Every expense is tracked and archived for your protection.
What we do as Theatrical Producers:
For new work, the only difference between this and our Management service is that we undertake a Commercial Option, which is a licensing agreement involving shared equity from production capitalization, and secure funding for development. Since this is not client management, the only fees involved are derived from investors M/R/P solicits, unless otherwise mutually agreed. However, we do not Option new works until we have deemed the piece ready for a fast-paced push towards a commercial production, meriting a remarkable balance of artistic merit and commercial appeal.
Most shows submitted are not ready for a commercial production and because live performance is a high-risk business, we are extremely particular of the Options we offer. With that on the table, it is not uncommon for us to Option shows we first have managed. During or after the completion of our services, we will let you know if we have taken a further interest in the piece. And if are not interested in pursuing the piece in a Producer capacity, which may not necessarily be because we are not a match for the piece, we are glad to advise our clients in areas of development possibilities.
